This is a second floor 2 bedroom condo with 1 Queen and 1 Full bed. 1 bathroom with shower only. Fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher. Table seats 2 and breakfast bar seats 2 more. This unit allows dogs with a fee. Wood burning fireplace, Internet TV and Wi-Fi! No cable.

  We always stay at the Chelan. We love the location, and the units are older, but nice. It's right in the "old village", great access the beach, and has the "beach cabin" atmosphere. We love unit #8 because it's on the 2nd floor and has a wall next to it that provides shade for most of the day on the deck. It has everything you need, including a good fridge, stove/oven and dishwasher, good WIFI and TV The only improvement that I would make is the furniture could be a bit more comfy - but we're elderly and are more sensitive to this than others may be. In particular, there's some furniture in the livingroom that is more like "deck furniture" and isn't the most comfy. Also, the beds are good, but tend to be a bit hard - a foam pad addition would make them more comfy (especially the smaller bed). Even with those issues, this is still our favorite place where we stay every year. Service from Grey Fox is great - they're always there to answer questions and help.

  Great place and would definitely stay here again. The view was great, wood fireplace made it cozy, and it was such a refreshing surprise to have a fully functioning kitchen with cooking supplies. The new smoke detectors however released a bright strobe during normal operation making it distracting at night trying to sleep. We ended up taking them down while we slept as they were too bright.

  I’ve been staying in various condos at the Chelan, and appreciate how consistently good the experience has been. Sometimes I need a ground floor unit, other times prefer a second story unit, and both are wonderful. Easy access to the beach is a plus, and the view from either ground floor or second floor units are great. Also, I really enjoy having a fireplace and a kitchen. The beds are comfortable too.

  This was my first time staying at Chelan #8.
  We were very disappointed and embarrassed that we had chosen this unit.
  It was very musty when opened the front door, the back door did not lock and the unit as a whole was in poor condition.
  We had relatives from Indiana with us and spent a week going up and down the Oregon coast, out of 3 places we stayed this was the worst and the most expensive. It was disappointing to say the least.
  I did report this at the Grey Fox office the day we checked in no one came out to address our problem.
  We have stayed many times at Chelan # 2 and absolutely loved it and will be renting it again.

  We always stay at the Chelan - usually in this unit. It has a great view, and the wall next to the deck provides some shade for most of the afternoon - until about 3 or 4, so you can sit out there without burning to a crisp. :) Only need to walk down the rock "staircase" and you're on the beach. There are only two things that are a drawback. There's only one loveseat that's comfortable enough to actually sit on for any period of time (other seating is wicker-type furniture and very uncomfortable if you're elderly folks (like we are). Also, although all the surfaces are clean and tidy, the drawers and cabinets haven't been cleaned or organized in a long time. This should be checked by cleaning staff. However, we still will continue to stay there because the "pros" outweigh the "cons", and this is our favorite beach.

  We really enjoyed our stay in Chelan #8. The condo was clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. And of course the beachfront location was perfect! Grey Fox was very responsive to our questions and made booking easy. The only negative was upon arrival, we noticed a distinct musty smell in the condo. We opened windows which helped, but it never really went away.
  We enjoyed our dinner at Hawk Creek Cafe and explored the trails at the nearby Nestucca Wildlife Refuge. The wildflowers there are spectacular!

  Awesome view off balcony and unit was clean. Minimal plates and silverware. No salt or pepper. Uncomfortable couch. Beds ok.

  Great location, beautiful view. Place is almost perfect - beds and pillow comfy, good paper/soap/shampoo in bathroom, good soap/sponges/dishwasher in kitchen. Not luxury, but a nice beach cabin atmosphere.
  
  Just two picky things that could be better. (1) Some of the furniture in the living room isn't very comfy for my elderly back, and the kitchen cupboards could use a deep-cleaning inside.

  My wife and I are repeat customers at the Chelan many times over. We love the location, the spectacular view, and the friendly folks at Grey Fox realty. We have an older golden retriever who is always welcome in unit 8.
  We are mostly comfortable during our stay, although the bedrooms and living room furniture could be upgraded for even more comfort.
  We usually stay in the off season when a great deal is to be had. I have to say the pricing for our last stay in July seemed to be steep.
  Overall we enjoy the Chelan, would recommend it to anyone who is not expecting luxury, and will return in the future.

  The Chelan is a wonderful complex on the beach with a view of Proposal Rock. The location is perfect for beach walks and easy access to Neskowin's store + Cafe at Hawk Creek. Our unit was well equipped with everything we needed including linens, towels, pots/pans, etc. Dog friendly which was appreciated! We visited the Hawk Creek Gallery on Hwy 101 - beautiful art. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Cafe at Hawk Creek. We will return!
