We’ve stayed here several times. We love the Chalen! Our biggest complaint is the TV situation. The WiFi connection was terrible! We couldn’t watch a movie without it disconnecting every few minutes. We even bought an antenna to try to get local PDX channels without success of being able to get it to connect. We have a Samsung TV at home, so we’re aware of how to scan for local channels, etc. some written guidance would be great! We went there for our 14 yo dog to re-coup from a surgery. The furniture is not for lounging- very uncomfortable!

We enjoyed our stay in #8. It’s one of my favorite units. You can’t get any closer to the ocean. My main concern is how slippery the shower floor is. We put a hand towel in the shower after one of us almost went down! There is a shortage of eating utensils! A little updating would go a long way!

Furnishings are nice, beds are comfy, and condo is clean. There are some "deep cleaning" things that could be done from time to time (like the insides of drawers and cabinets), but generally things are well looked after. It overlooks the ocean, and is one of the best locations at the beach!

This is our second time staying in Chelan 8. It is a lovely unit, clean and with amazing beach views and access. The bed mattresses are great, so great night sleeps as well. It is a dog friendly unit, and we go with a dog, but not have any pets smells. A perfect place for a beach get away.

A great time. We love Chelan #8 and will return. A few negatives: The unit is quite chilly. Some inexpensive weather strip on the inner door to the deck would help. Also, the unit became smokey when burning the fire logs. It could have been caused by the wind, but the chimney may require some maintenance.

We've been renting this condo for many years, and it's perfect for us. It's just a few steps to the ocean, and has a wonderful deck with an unobstructed view. It's better than some of the others in this building because the deck provides some shade for about 1/2 the afternoon. There's also a front deck that's very nice - which I use if it's just too cold on the ocean side. There are lots of dishes and pots and pans, and everything in the kitchen/bathroom works well. The only problem I have is that the furnishings could be more comfortable - however, I'm elderly and have back problems. The couch is good, but the other seating (wicker) doesn't work for me at all. However, we can work around this and will be returning next summer as usual.

We always stay at the Chelan. We love the location, and the units are older, but nice. It's right in the "old village", great access the beach, and has the "beach cabin" atmosphere. We love unit #8 because it's on the 2nd floor and has a wall next to it that provides shade for most of the day on the deck. It has everything you need, including a good fridge, stove/oven and dishwasher, good WIFI and TV The only improvement that I would make is the furniture could be a bit more comfy - but we're elderly and are more sensitive to this than others may be. In particular, there's some furniture in the livingroom that is more like "deck furniture" and isn't the most comfy. Also, the beds are good, but tend to be a bit hard - a foam pad addition would make them more comfy (especially the smaller bed). Even with those issues, this is still our favorite place where we stay every year. Service from Grey Fox is great - they're always there to answer questions and help.

Great place and would definitely stay here again. The view was great, wood fireplace made it cozy, and it was such a refreshing surprise to have a fully functioning kitchen with cooking supplies. The new smoke detectors however released a bright strobe during normal operation making it distracting at night trying to sleep. We ended up taking them down while we slept as they were too bright.

I’ve been staying in various condos at the Chelan, and appreciate how consistently good the experience has been. Sometimes I need a ground floor unit, other times prefer a second story unit, and both are wonderful. Easy access to the beach is a plus, and the view from either ground floor or second floor units are great. Also, I really enjoy having a fireplace and a kitchen. The beds are comfortable too.

We always stay at the Chelan - usually in this unit. It has a great view, and the wall next to the deck provides some shade for most of the afternoon - until about 3 or 4, so you can sit out there without burning to a crisp. :) Only need to walk down the rock "staircase" and you're on the beach. There are only two things that are a drawback. There's only one loveseat that's comfortable enough to actually sit on for any period of time (other seating is wicker-type furniture and very uncomfortable if you're elderly folks (like we are). Also, although all the surfaces are clean and tidy, the drawers and cabinets haven't been cleaned or organized in a long time. This should be checked by cleaning staff. However, we still will continue to stay there because the "pros" outweigh the "cons", and this is our favorite beach.

We really enjoyed our stay in Chelan #8. The condo was clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. And of course the beachfront location was perfect! Grey Fox was very responsive to our questions and made booking easy. The only negative was upon arrival, we noticed a distinct musty smell in the condo. We opened windows which helped, but it never really went away.
We enjoyed our dinner at Hawk Creek Cafe and explored the trails at the nearby Nestucca Wildlife Refuge. The wildflowers there are spectacular!

Great location, beautiful view. Place is almost perfect - beds and pillow comfy, good paper/soap/shampoo in bathroom, good soap/sponges/dishwasher in kitchen. Not luxury, but a nice beach cabin atmosphere.

Just two picky things that could be better. (1) Some of the furniture in the living room isn't very comfy for my elderly back, and the kitchen cupboards could use a deep-cleaning inside.

My wife and I are repeat customers at the Chelan many times over. We love the location, the spectacular view, and the friendly folks at Grey Fox realty. We have an older golden retriever who is always welcome in unit 8.
We are mostly comfortable during our stay, although the bedrooms and living room furniture could be upgraded for even more comfort.
We usually stay in the off season when a great deal is to be had. I have to say the pricing for our last stay in July seemed to be steep.
Overall we enjoy the Chelan, would recommend it to anyone who is not expecting luxury, and will return in the future.
